About Us
A Bulgarian home in the desert.
Bulgarche is a Saturday Bulgarian language school in Phoenix, Arizona — founded to preserve our mother tongue and heritage for the next generation of Bulgarian-Americans in Arizona.
Our school is sponsored by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria. Our curriculum is designed to prepare students for the bi-lingual certification tests for officially recognized diplomas in Bulgaria.
Classes meet at the Irish Cultural Center & McClelland Library in central Phoenix — a warm, welcoming space we fill with Bulgarian songs, laughter, and learning every Saturday.

School Code of Conduct
Bulgarche is a welcoming place where children learn, play, and grow together. Our code of conduct helps every student, parent, and teacher feel safe, respected, and ready to learn.
Respect one another
Speak kindly, listen actively, and treat teachers, classmates, and families with courtesy — in both Bulgarian and English.
Come ready to learn
Arrive on time with materials, a water bottle, and a positive attitude. Regular attendance helps children build steady language progress.
Keep everyone safe
Follow teacher instructions, stay in supervised areas, and report concerns to an adult right away.
Celebrate Bulgarian
Use Bulgarian words and songs in class, share traditions, and encourage friends to try — every attempt is celebrated.
Care for our space
Treat the Irish Cultural Center & McClelland Library with care. Clean up after activities and respect shared materials.
By learning together with respect and joy, we keep Bulgarche a place where Bulgarian language and culture can flourish.
